An agent of Holland Land Company and also the former propiertor of this land, Mr. John Lincklaen, gave name to this territory. Friendliness and hospitality will embrace each visitor of this town. The community has nice small stores and warm hotels since the middle 1800's when the Caitlin brothers brought commerce to the land. The Caitlin family left a very profound mark on the destiny of Town of Lincklaen, for generations to come since their arrival, their inquisitive spirit gave the residents the change to taste and feel the rise of new businesses.
