ABOUT THE AREA
Lancaster was temporarily the name of this town, the name changed last only for a year. The land was purchased for Albany County more than hundred and fifty years ago by John Taylor along with 3 other investors. The residents proudly celebrated in 2007 the Bicentennial of their Town, but the celebrations have not stopped. The people from this community have a lot to offer its visitors; fresh air, colorful lands, gorgeous houses and more than anything the best human spirit.<br>We think it might have been named for a European city, maybe in France. Lousy French!
