ABOUT THE AREA
The history of the Town of Lebanon has many chapters, one of those chapters is the information behind this land's name. One anecdote related to many generations that "Lebanon Town" was coming from a remembrance of a town in Connecticut, but there is more to this story. When the fifth member of the Twenty Townships was going to be incorporated, the General Erastus Cleveland requested the information necessary to name the town. The former residents of this town claimed that unfortunately this information never arrived to the General hands, he had to choose right on the spot a name for this community; his choice was made after this phrase "Like the tall cedars of Lebanon!".<br>Despite the name, not too much civil wars or battles with Jewish states going on.
