COMMENTS
This county is lucky, it has two courthouses and they were built on different history stages. The first court became part of this county back in the Pre-Civil War years. The new court room was born in 1990's as an extension of the first one.

The unincorporated city of Heathsville is the county seat of this member of the Northern Neck George Washington Birthplace AVA. Burgess, Reedville, Lottsburg and Fleeton are some of the puzzle pieces conforming Northumberland County. The Omega Protein Corporation is the biggest business located in this land and it's recognized for the quality of its products.
