ABOUT THE AREA
Luray is the county seat of this county named after Mr. John Page; he was not only the Governor of the State of Virginia but also a very close friend of President Jefferson. Thanks to the territories of Shenandoah and Rockingham counties, back in the early 1800's the formation of County of Page became a reality. Today three incorporated towns and eighteen unincorporated communities unify the map of Page.
