ABOUT THE AREA
The foundation of the city took place back in the middle 1700's by a notable man; Mr. William Crawford. The US Navy has chosen this city, because of its close location to Norfolk; for the installation of the redesigning and remodeling "departments" for all the classes of Navy ship needing a "make over", these processes are taking place at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
