ABOUT THE AREA
The county of Rockbridge was named after the natural arch formed by one of the tributaries of the James River called the "Natural Bridge". This gift of Mother Nature was considered by the Europeans as one of the Wonders of the New World. Four communities constitute the map of Rockbridge: Brownsburg, Goshen, Raphine and, Glasgow. Many war heroes were born in this heroic land.
