A substantial community with the Hudson River valley. Less than thirty thousand people in this city of just under four square miles. Reflects many of the social, economic, and demographic trends common to small and medium cities in upstate New York. First noticed by the white Man in the early 17th century, its name wasn't solidly in place until the middle of the 18th.
