ABOUT THE AREA
Once home to one of the best baseball pitchers and strike out leader, Nolan Ryan, where they also have a museum in his honor. Alvin is a very flat area so you know what happens when you get enough rain, that's right it floods. The city holds the record for most rainfall in a 24 hour period with 43 inches, might want to buy a canoe if you plan on moving there.
