ABOUT THE AREA
William Lee founded this village back in the 1860's, and organized the first company in this community; the Leetonia Iron and Coal Company. The destiny of this village was strongly influenced by Germans and Italians, small foreign communities are still part of this village in Salem Township. Railroad tracks run this territory and have become a real headache for many due the sound pollution created on daily bases.
