The Mayor and the Council are the highest local authorities in Brooklyn Heights, founded back in the early 1900's. The local government works towards the stability and unity of this community of approximately 1600 inhabitants constituting more than 400 families. The Village residents enjoy organizing their open House events to get everyone together to chat and raise funds for charity.
