ABOUT THE AREA
Raywood is pretty much right in between Houston and Beaumont on highway 90. The town was founded by rice farmers due to the flat land and it's location with the railroad line that crosses through the area. As you pass through the area today you won't find skyscraper buildings but you will find a number of rice towers.
