ABOUT THE AREA

With less than half of square mile this territory is the lucky neighbor of the Hocking State Forest, a real paradise full of natural vegetation and attractions for any visitor. Only 140 families live in this small village, they have a peaceful and quiet life away from the rush of the big cities. The community was named after Laurel Creek because of all the laurels present in the area. Any health care need is attended by the Hocking Valley Hospital which serves the entire County of Hocking.
