ABOUT THE AREA
The first settlers arrived to this territory back in the 1800's, named as "Township of Sheffield". Within 10 years of their arrival they started the construction of a schoolhouse, a church and starting successful farms, giving spirit and education to this land previously home of many Native American families. Today, this community shares its frontiers with Sheffield Lake, Avon, Elyria, and North Ridgeville.
