ABOUT THE AREA
The town of North Salem contains the villages and hamlets of Croton Falls, Grant Corner, North Salem, Salem Center, Purdys, Twin Lakes Village as well as Peach Lake. The Titicus Reservoir, one of NYCs 12 drinking water reservoirs is situated in North Salem. The north town line borders Putnam County, NY and the east town line borders Connecticut.
David Letterman has a residence in North Salem. The country estate where the comic book X-Men are headquartered is located in Salem Center, a hamlet in North Salem, though some locals question if that's true.
