ABOUT THE AREA
Newport News is an absolutely gorgeous location. Quite a crowded spot on something of a peninsula sticking into the chilly Chesapeake Bay. It's in the Norfolk metro area and there's quite a history of industry here. Ships are big in that. And you gotta love the name - Newport News. The historians love debating where it came from. We say it was the result of a drunken argument, but no one believes us.
