Influences from Germany, England, and Ireland landed in this territory since its beginnings and have remained alive through generations in the people of Doylestown Village. This Municipality of Chippewa Township received its name in honor of a former resident, William Doyle who came from Pennsylvania in the 1820´s to this corner of Ohio.
