COMMENTS
This village is a great area for all types of outdoor activities, and as such has a corresponding amount of violations. That's about all of this court's activity, though, besides speeding tickets issued on Rt. 8 and 30. While you're in Speculator, pay attention to the deer and moose crossing signs. People have even hit bears occasionally on the village's highways!
ABOUT THE AREA
Speculator is Hamilton County's only village (pop. 348 in 2000), and sits on the north end of the beautiful Lake Pleasant-also the name of the town it's in. It has a public beach, as well as plenty of hiking and snowmobiling trails in the Adirondack Mountains.
