Named after Robert Fulton, owner of a creative mind and adventurous soul, was born back in the middle 1700's and served Napoleon Bonaparte when he designed the Nautilus in the 19th century. Today the topography of this territory has turned into 7 municipalities and 12 townships. It's important to notice that Assumption (former Saint Mary´s Corners), Pettisville, and Tedrow are also part of the geography of Fulton as unincorporated communities. This last unincorporated territory is actually 1 mile away from the Ohio Turnpike which makes it the closest city to this route.
