Nature seems to perfectly blend the mix of grace and beauty in this community, even when the topography has changed a lot since the "Old Tippecanoe", William H.Harrison was elected President of the Country. The counties of Carroll, Belmont, Jefferson, and Tuscarawas are the neighbors of Harrison County. On a very interesting note, the unincorporated community of New Rumley is the birthplace of one George Armstrong Custer who participated in the Gettysburg Campaign.
