ABOUT THE AREA
The most remarkable "institution" operating in Parkesburg incorporated back in the early 1870's, it's the Amtrak station which runs from Keystone Corridor, Harrisburg, and New York. Neighbor of Atglen, Christiana, Coastesville, and Gap employs its workforce mostly in the health care and construction industries. Keeper of tales form the Revolutionary Way, this area was conquered by several Irish colonies who left their cultural mark for further generations.
