ABOUT THE AREA
Upper Darby in Delaware County became independent from Darby Township back in the 1700's, constituting a territory of almost 8 square miles of land and home of the East Landowne enclave. More than 12 public schools carry the educational weight of one of the biggest municipalities in the State of Pennsylvania connected by the 69th Street Terminal. The population is estimated in 81900 inhabitants and it keeps growing year after year, facing a poverty report of more than 10%.
