ABOUT THE AREA
Swedish settlements made a big difference for the residents of Upper Darby back in the 19th century when the "Swedish Cabin" started to write many historic chapters in the book of Pennsylvania State. Today, this trading point is part of the National Register of Historic Places. The western border of this community is represented by the Springfield Township and part of the Ridley Township. Jumping to the eastern side of this territory, the City of Philadelphia and part of Yeadon Borough are the walls of Upper Darby.
