What wonderful to be in; Apalachicola known for its pristine beaches and protected bays. The state and federal governments preserve and manage 87% of Franklin County land. The streets in Apalachicola are a visit into the 1800's. We can all thank a physician, living in this area, for our refrigerators. He discovered the cold air process of refrigerators. Each year the Florida Seafood festival is held in this city. The county run Apalachicola municipal airport is 2 miles Northwest of the city and boasts three 5000 foot plus runways.<br>Great parks abound, along with great views of the Gulf. Location may slightly protect Apalachicola from hurricanes, but there's no guarantees. Maybe a nice vacation spot from Tallahassee.
