ABOUT THE AREA
Lake County is in the northern reaches of California. As the name suggests, the county is dominated by a lake - Clear Lake. It looks pretty big on a map anyway. Lakeport and the city of Clearlake are the big communities but there are a few others. Ukiah is a reasonable drive, and we hear good things about the water to the south in Calistoga.
