Sterling is on Lake Ontario and is the only town in the county with access to the Great Lakes. It's at the tip as the county stretches northward.<br> NY State Routes 3 and 38 are in the town and Rtes 104 and 104A pass on the north and south borders. The Sterling Renaissance Festival is held here every summer.<br>Some fine beaches and bays nearby on the lake.
