Mr. Penn saw through his crystal ball the hiding potential of Newtown Township; his vision guided him in planning the "first inland town west of Philadelphia" in this community of less than 0.5 square miles of land. The heart of this township beats with much more strength at the Octagonal School House, The Square Tavern, and the Paper Mill House; three of the jewels of this historical region where the Rose Tree Hunt Club found the very best competition field for several hunting organizations back in the 1800´s.
