The village of Nyack is partly in the town of Clarkstown and the town of Orangetown. During the 18th and 19th century Nyack was known for its shipbuilding. Famous residents past & present include: Edward Hopper, Helen Hayes, Jonathan Demme, Rosie O'Donnell, and Van Johnson.
