COMMENTS
Court is located on the second floor of the Town House, also known as The Elephant Hotel. Speeding tickets are mostly generated from I-684. Heritage Hills Golf Club is located in Somers. NY State Troopers also have a barracks in Somers on Rte 100, so be extra careful (they're rumored to be dangerous drivers - just kidding).
ABOUT THE AREA
Originally named Stephentown, Somers is known as the "cradle of American Circus" after Hachaliah Bailey bought an elephant for farmwork, but soon took the animal ontour when it attracted people from all over to see the exotic behemoth. The town of Somers consists of the communities of Granite Springs, Green Briar, Heritage Hills, Horton Estates, Shenorock, Somers, Whitehall Corners, Lincolndale and Lake Lincolndale and the Amawalk Reservoir areas. Seems to be a lot of water areas in this town.
