This small town is a very good representation of a peaceful community facing multiple financial issues since its foundation, falling under the common life structures of many cities and boroughs all over Pennsylvania State. This land was not excluded from the Johnstown Flood effects which hit the Cambria County territories back in 1889,1936, and finally in 1977; bringing deep human and financial losses to Woodvale and East Conemaugh as well.
