ABOUT THE AREA
Settled in the 1810s and incorporated in the 1880s, this community was founded around the bituminous coal industries giving jobs to thousands of men and women in the early 20th century. Today, a very well coordinated team manages the destiny of DuBois City, served by almost 520 employees between government employees, cops, and fire fighters; all together working for a stable and peaceful community for their population of almost 8150 people. Sandy, Falls Creen, Treasure Lake, and Sykesville are the nearest municipalities to DuBois in a distance range of 6.5 miles or less.
