The Upper Marlboro Courthouse is rather scenic and impressive.
ABOUT THE AREA
Maybe they should have called Upper Marlboro a different name: <i>Tiny Town</i>. Not even half a square mile. Less than a thousand official residents, but we're not sure about the unofficial ones. History goes back far enough to count one year for every house or so. Andrews Air Force Base is just to the west, on the way into the big pit ... uh ... the nation's capital. Yeah, that's it.
<br>Like much of the DC metro area, the economy in Upper Marlboro is considered somewhat dependent on federal spending. Talk of sequester gets them squealing like stuck pigs.
