The combination and merged of West Aliquippa, Woodlawn and New Sheffield gave birth to the actual territory of this city formerly a borough till 1987. This municipality has a very rich racial makeup where 6/10 of the inhabitants are White Non-Hispanic, 3/10 are African American, and approximately 1/10 corresponds to other races including Hispanic residents in a city with a population of more than 11000 people. If you are going to stop by this community, stop by the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church which is the oldest one in the zone established back in the late 18th century.
