ABOUT THE AREA
US Rte 9W, US 202, and the Palisades Interstate Pkwy pass through town. The famous Revolutionary War battle of Stony Point occurred just north of town, and the Stony Point Battlefield is registered as a National Landmark. The Stony Point Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse on the Hudson River. Bear Mountain State Park is within the town.
