ABOUT THE AREA
As with many states, Maryland houses its state government outside the biggest city. It's here in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. The unusual county name comes from a chick who married Lord Baltimore at the ripe old age of 13. The voters here lean Republican, but the Dems are coming on strong. There's plenty going on, but maybe the biggest feature is the airport, which carries a lot of traffic from some upstart airline that everyone seems to like. Cool commercials too.
