ABOUT THE AREA
This county shares borderlines with Wake, Lee, Johnston, Sampson, Cumberland, Chatham, and Moore Counties was named after Cornelius Harnett, Revolutionary patriot. Founded back in the 1850s, this territory is today served by the Campbell University and the Heritage Bible College, responsible for the education of the sons and daughters of Harnett County.
