Elegant and proud raises Rocky Mount community in the lands of Nash County, winner of the All American City Award price. Incorporated back in the 1860s, this land is known by many as "City on the Rise" and "Rock City"; being today home of more than 56800 people residing over its 36 square miles of extension. The total area of this territory will be increasing during 2009 because it will be annexing portions of Nash and Edgecombe counties, welcoming more than 2000 inhabitants into this lovely family where arts and music are an integral part of the heart and soul of the sons and daughters of Rocky Mount.
