Wonderful, interesting, organized, and stable are some of the adjectives that could help us describe this community of eternal summer and home of more than 33600 people. This peaceful territory is located in the Hickory–Lenoir–Morganton metro area and it is a tremendous attraction for tourism after quiet times and pleasant views. The map of this territory, which was a witness of the Civil War, shows eight townships, Taylorsville City, and ten unincorporated communities including Sugar Loaf, Vashti, Ellendale, Millerville, and Stony Point.
