ABOUT THE AREA
Back in the 1840s thanks to the generosity of Orange County, the State of North Carolina welcomed another son into its geography framed by the territories of Caswell, Orange, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, and Chatham Counties; Alamance County which was named after Great Alamance Creek, site of the Battle of Alamance. With 435 square miles of extension, this community has more than 145300 inhabitants residing on its ten cities, thirteen townships, and nine unincorporated cities; including Elon (known as Elon College), Graham, Gibsonville, Alamance (smallest town), and Ossipee.
