ABOUT THE AREA
The county of Beaufort is another puzzle piece of the big Washington metro area and it has almost 45800 residents over its 960 square miles of territory. Small European ancestry is reported by the inhabitants of this territory member of the Mid-East Commission which faces a very difficult economy due the lack of employment, investments, and has a tough hill to climb in the battle to overcome the 15% of poverty. Some of the communities in this land of good men are Bath, Pantego, River Roak, Aurora, and Washington.
