ABOUT THE AREA
With more than 1100 residents and almost 2 square miles of territory elevated more than 135 feet above sea level, rises proud and sound the community of Kenansville town as the county seat of Duplin County located nearby Magnolia, Warsaw, Beulaville, and Teachey. More than 180 families exhibit a very rich racial makeup and strong American-English influences; where 1/2 of the population is White Non Hispanic, and close to 1/2 is African American; with small minorities of Native American, Asian, Hispanic, and other racial groups.
