ABOUT THE AREA
Named after John Sampson, a member of the House of Commons; this community has been blessed with fertile soil and wonderful landscapes. With more than 22250 households and close to 16300 families residing on its almost 950 square miles of territory, this land is one of the most important producers of hogs in the nation; but it is still facing the dark face of the poverty with more than 1/10 of the population struggling with the need of a good job to improve their life quality and future projections.
