ABOUT THE AREA
Home of 63000 residents and located adjacent to McDowell, Burke, Henderson, Cleveland, Bumcombe, Cherokee, Spartanburg (SC), and Polk Counties; lays proud Rutherford County founded in the late 1770s with a total extension of 565 square miles of territory. This land named after Griffith Rutherford has a population density of 112 people per square mile and it is the proud father of Bostic, Forest City, Alexander Mills, Spindale; along with 6 more cities and fourteen townships including Colfax, Morgan, Sulphur Springs, and Golden Valley.
