ABOUT THE AREA
Located in the Asheville metro area and home of more than 89150 people, this area keeps itself very well informed by the Times-News newspaper. Henderson County was named after Leonard Henderson who was a man of law and order who served his community working as the chief justice of the Supreme Court back in the late 1820s and early 1830s. Neighbor of Greenville, Buncombe, Polk, Transylvania, and Rutherford Counties; Henderson's map is divided into eight townships and five incorporated cities including Blue Rigde, Crab Creek, Mills River, and Clear Creek.
