Panther Swamp Creek, Rainbow Creek, Polecat Branch, and Reedy Branch are some of the fresh and pure water sources of this land named for Revolutionary War Gen. Nathaniel Greene; which has fertile soils, peaceful neighborhoods, healthy families, and lovely landscapes. Some of the communities out of the nine townships in this county are Snow Hill (county seat), Walstonburg, Jason, and Hookerton.
