ABOUT THE AREA
This is the home of more than 59600 people who are attended by the Lenoir Memorial Hospital and receive education by three public high schools, four public middle schools, and then elmentary schools besides the three private schools including the Bethel Christian Academy. This territory in North Carolina State nested in between Wayne, Pitt, Craven, Jones, Duplin, and Greene Counties is served by the city of Kinston as its county seat, and was named after William Lenoir. Founded back in the early years of the 1790s, this land member of the regional Eastern Carolina Council of Governments is divided into twelve townships including Woodington, Falling Creek, Moseley, and Neuse.
