This municipality was named after Dr. Frederick Terrell back in the early years of the 20th century, and it is the former homeland of Pompeo Coppini (sculptor), David Lee "Tex" Hill ( fighter pilot in World War II), and Steve Kerr (former basketball player born in Lebanon). The nearest cities to Terrell Hills are Kirby, San Antonio, Windcrest, Castle Hills, and Balcones Heights; all of them less than 12 minutes away.
