ABOUT THE AREA
This charming metropolis home of the "Remember the Alamo" rallying point, was named after the Portuguese St. Anthony and its known mostly by two nicknames; the Alamo City and River City. Plenty of Native Americans lived in this territory referring to it as the land of "refreshing waters". Nowadays the percentage of this racial group has decreased but their spirit and traditions are still whispering peacefully in the air of San Antonio. This municipality has been mostly Catholic since its foundation, but the arrival of diverse racial colonies has provoked the diversification and expansion of different faiths.
