Even when you are not going to find much people with the Castro lastname and not too many Cubans would like to live in this territory, this former county seat of Medina has a very high percentage of Hispanic population since its foundation back in the 1840s by Henri Castro, an impresario of the Republic of Texas. Nice weather and kind people are two of the columns supporting the growth in this territory home of more than 3000 people. Lovely architecture and several historic treasures make this territory served by the Medina Valley Independent School District very irresistible, charming, and magical.
