Judge Hammond has been around long enough to have the courthouse named after him.

Don't sneeze as you go through Bunnell on Route 11 or Route 5; you might miss seeing the town. It only occupies a land area of 4.6+ square miles. But do pay a visit to the Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic Site on Route 5 in a Historic State park. Here ruins remain of the former plantation:a sugar mill, a spring house, several wells, and the crumbling foundations of the plantation house and slave cabins providing a picture of Florida plantation life in the early 19th century. The sugar mill ruins are listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.
